U Bolts (5)
U bolts, known for their unique appearance that bends in the shape of a letter U, are most commonly used to support pipework. Due to their curved shape, these types of bolts will perfectly fit around tubes, beams, poles and pipes. These bolts feature two threaded ends to easily fasten nuts and washers. U bolts can also be used for clamping timber and other materials to upright posts. There are various types of U bolts available to support different requirements, including different loads, environments and torque requirements. Whether you are looking for a U bolt to grip a pipe tightly outdoors or searching for a U bolt with plates for an even more secure hold, we have it all. At Speedy Fixings, we supply galvanised U bolts, zinc plated U bolts, stainless steel U bolts and galvanised U bolts with plates. These are available in a selection of standard sizes. However, we can quickly produce non-standard sizes to meet your requirements. Galvanised U bolts are a great choice for outdoor uses. These feature a protective barrier that makes them resistant to corrosion and rust. These come complete with nuts and are available in a multitude of sizes, from M6 Galvanised U Bolts to M16 Galvanised U Bolts. Zinc plated U bolts are better suited for indoor applications or non-speciality applications. These offer a good level of strength and some resistance to corrosion. Some of our zinc-plated U bolt sizes include M8 Zinc Plated U Bolt with Nuts and M12 Zinc Plated U Bolt with Nuts. If you are searching for a durable, long-lasting and corrosion resistance option, stainless steel U bolts might be the best choice. Complete the assembly of a U bolt with galvanised U bolt plates. You can purchase the plates individually or buy galvanised U bolts with plates. U bolt plates are used to fasten pipes and other objects to structural elements, such as ceilings. These plates restrict movement and offer an extra layer of security. Due to the manufacturing process, the “between leg” measurement may vary very slightly. Please contact us prior to placing an order if this is likely to cause a problem. You can easily reach us on mobile at 01206 793100 or email at sales@speedyfixings.com.U Bolts -
Nuts (31)
Nuts are used alongside bolts to hold two or more objects together. Nuts and bolts are used for all kinds of applications, from small everyday projects to large construction jobs. These come in a variety of shapes, sizes, materials and plating. With such a vast choice, you will be able to find the most effective and suitable product for your application. At Speedy Fixings, we stock a wide selection of nuts for sale, from screw nuts, nyloc nuts, half lock nuts, dome nuts, wing nuts, security nuts, channel nuts, wedge nuts and serrated flange nuts. Browse our full range of nut fasteners online today. Screw nuts, also known as hex nuts, hexagonal nuts or full nuts, are nuts with a hexagonal shape. A hex nut is the most common type of nut available. These have internal threads that will screw onto a bolt. We offer full hexagon nut sizes ranging from M2.5 to M48 and are available in galvanised steel, stainless steel, nylon and zinc plated. Nyloc nuts feature a nylon insert that prevents components from loosening. Also called elastic stop nuts or nylon-insert lock nuts, nyloc nuts are often used in applications where vibration could loosen or even undo the nut. If you require a nut that is half the thickness of a standard nut, half lock nuts, also known as jam nuts or half nuts, are ideal. These are low-profile hexagonal nuts that are designed to be jammed against another nut. Dome nuts are designed to protect the threaded end of a bolt. Sometimes called acorn nuts, cap nuts or crown hex nuts, dome nuts are also great to give a visually aesthetic look. Security nuts are used to secure materials and objects from being tampered with. These feature a standard hex nut and a rounded cone. When tightening the nut, the hex part will shear off leaving behind the rounded cone which cannot be removed without butting, grinding or burning. In case you require a nut that will give you a sure grip when tightening or loosening without the need for tools, a wing nut would be the right choice. Wings nuts, or butterfly nuts, feature two large metal “wings” which being fastened by hand. Channel nuts are used with channel support systems, also called Unistrut. This system is used to support and connect light structural loads. We stock plain channel nuts, long spring channel nuts and short spring channel nuts in various sizes. Medium & Heavy Duty Anchor Fixings (58)
At Speedy Fixings, we stock a large collection of medium anchors and heavy-duty anchors suitable for concrete and masonry. These anchor fixings are designed to connect structural elements together in all kinds of construction applications. This connection can be made by various components, from throughbolts and shield anchors to heavy-duty anchors and sleeve anchors. It can also be made with drop-in anchors and resin anchors. The main difference between these components is that some are mechanical anchors and others are chemical anchors. Mechanical anchors fall into two categories: expansion anchors and non-expansion anchors. Expansion anchors, as the name suggests, consist of anchors that can be expanded. This includes throughbolts, sleeve anchors and shield anchors which expand when being tightened. Other anchors, such as drop-in anchors, expand due to the displacement of an expander plug. Unlike mechanical anchors, chemical anchors, also referred to as resin anchors, do not provoke stress in the base material. This means that chemical anchors can be installed at close spacing and edge distances, offering a strong anchorage in both masonry and concrete. We stock a wide selection of resin anchors and resin anchor tools, including pump-in resin, resin anchor studs, internally threaded sockets, resin glass capsules and resin injection guns. Hole cleaning equipment is also available to ensure drilled holes are free from debris and dust.Medium & Heavy Duty Anchor Fixings -
Resin Anchors (20)
Resin anchors, also known as chemical anchors, are designed to fix heavy loads to concrete and masonry. These are stress-free fixings, meaning they do not induce compression stresses in the base material and, in turn, can be installed at close spacing and edge distances. Due to this, resin anchors offer a strong anchorage in masonry and concrete surfaces. At Speedy Fixings, we stock a variety of resin anchors for sale, including some types that are suitable for use underwater. From pump-in resin and resin anchor studs to internally threaded sockets and glass capsules, find the most suitable fixing for your application today. Pump-in resin, sometimes referred to as resin injection systems, are bonded anchor systems that feature a two-part system which mixes in the nozzle during pumping. These resin injection systems can be used with most materials. The 400ml Rawl RKER II Hybrid Resin can be used in cracked and non-cracked concrete as well as dry or wet substrates and water-filled holes. Resin anchor studs or chemical anchor studs are designed to be used when fixing with chemical resin. These will provide a strong fixing into concrete. We supply a variety of resin anchor studs, including Stainless Steel 316-A4 Resin Anchor Stud, Galvanised Resin Anchor Stud and Zinc Plated Mild Steel Resin Anchor Stud. These all come with nuts and washers and are available in a vast range of sizes. Internal threaded sockets are ideal to be used when a removable fixing is required. Our internal threaded sockets are available in a variety of thread sizes and materials, from M8 Zinc Plated Internal Threaded Socket and M12 Stainless Steel 304-A2 Internal Threaded Socket to M16 Stainless Steel 316-A4 Internal Thread Socket. Glass resin capsules are the earliest type of resin anchor and work particularly well in concrete. These are divided into two main categories: spin-in capsules and hammer-in capsules. Resin Anchor Spin-in Capsules need to be spun using an internally threaded socket and drill to mix the contents. In hammer-in systems, internally threaded sockets are hammered through Resin Anchor Hammer-in Capsules to draw the substance through the resin. In addition to our resin fixings, we also stock a variety of resin anchor tools and accessories, including injection tools and hole cleaning equipment. If you are unsure which resin anchor would better suit your project, contact us today. We can be easily reached via phone at 01206 793100 or by email at sales@speedyfixings.com.Resin Anchors -
